Shimon Gillis is the Community Director at Finchley United Synagogue (Kinloss). His volunteer roles are: Trustee of GIFT, Trustee of British Friends of Yeshivat Har Etzion, Board of Management Edgware Adath. Shimon spent his gap year at the Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush).

Shimon sees being a Yoni Jesner Scholar as an opportunity to continue Yoni's legacy by working in the Jewish community.
